About Us

Arts and Culture at the University of Exeter

Arts & Culture actvity is supported through promotion of arts and culture events, and care of the University's fine art collections.  Additionally advice is given to students, staff and researchers who are involved in arts activities.

A varied arts and culture programme engages a range of audiences through exhibitions, performances, festivals and guest lectures, many in our purpose-built venues on campus.

With a strategic approach, Arts and Culture inputs into the research agenda by brokering collaborations between artists and researchers of all disciplines and fostering artistic impacts of research.

The University also works collaboratively with other arts organisations in Exeter, regionally and nationally and with other universities.

The University of Exeter boasts a significant arts and culture offer including, The Exeter Northcott Theatre, The Great Hall for music, The Forum Piazzas and Auditorium, Kay House Duryard Music Facility, The Bill Douglas Cinema Museum, a Sculpture and Fine Art Collection and a number of gallery spaces.  Our Visual Arts Collection includes work by artists such as Patrick Heron, Terry Frost, Kurt Jackson, Neil Canning and Alan Cotton.
