1st - 31st August 2017 from 9am to 5pm weekdays

White Space / Blue Sky, the University of Exeter Environment and Sustainability Institute's  Creative Exchange collaboration between Caitlin DeSilvey and creative affiliate Antony Lyons is underway.

A work-in-progress exhibition highlighting their shared research will be on show in the Creative Exchange studio space in the Environment and Sustainability Institute (ESI) on the Penryn Campus throughout August. Their focus is the china clay area of mid-Cornwall.

Lyons has also just received a £28,500 Arts Council grant for a related project, Even In Arcadia, which will enable him, along with other artists, to deepen his work in Cornwall and expand it to two other landscapes-in-transition (Orford Ness, Suffolk and the rewilding zone of the Côa Valley, Portugal).

Lyons’ creative involvement in these landscapes will be integrated with ongoing research carried out under the AHRC Heritage Futures project, on which DeSilvey is a co-investigator. Lyons developed the Arts Council grant proposal with partial support from the University of Exeter Geography Strategic Development Fund and with match funding from the ESI.

This free exhibition is open to the public from 9am - 5pm on weekdays throughout August (except the bank holiday).
