The Exchange Building - Tremough House Boardroom and the Walled Garden - University of Exeter Penryn Campus, Cornwall

31st August - 10th October 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm

Tipping Points and Chaos is an exhibition of artworks inspired by nature and human interaction with the natural world.

Tipping Points and Chaos is an exhibition in the shared spaces of the University of Exeter Penryn Campus exploring artworks inspired by nature and human interaction with the natural world.

In times of political and social unrest, the cause of reducing carbon emissions and waste, protecting endangered habitats and species feels more than ever an important issue to continue to highlight. Drawing together a group of student works in the Exchange Building, commissioned sculptural installations outside on the Penryn Campus grounds and a mixed exhibition of artists from Anima Mundi in the Tremough House Boardroom.

The title Tipping Points and Chaos comes from MFA student Samantha Gerlach, who has created art works shown in The Exchange from conversations with Exeter University Environment and Sustainability Institute Fellow Dr Marcus Mueller on his dynamic-behavior mathematical models investigating stability, tipping points and possible irreversible chaos of nature, when effected by further climate change.

Free and open to the public - Tremough House is open between 10am and 6pm weekdays.
