Institute for Arab and Islamic Studies Ornamental Pond

Institute for Arab and Islamic Studies Ornamental Pond

This formal pond was completed in 2001 and contains typical water plants and marginals, such as Nymphaea (water lily) and Eichhornia (water hyacinth).

In 2016, a unique piece of public art was created by Mohammed Ali (Aerosol Arabic). The calligraffiti spells the Arabic word for “knowledge” and provides an incredible backdrop to the pond.
