The University of Exeter is proud to offer a full professional programme of music. The Great Hall, with a capacity of 1,400 makes a popular venue for concerts with world-renowned acts such as Radiohead Newton Faulkner and Blur gracing the stage. We have an ongoing relationship with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, English Touring Opera and Piano circus who provide a range of events throughout the year.

The Students' Guild runs the Lemon Grove which is another great venue for live music at the heart of Streatham campus.

The University is dedicated to the development of spaces for musical practice and performance. Kay House and the M&D Rooms are places available for use.

Extra-curricular music is a strong part of the University and there are over 30 student musical societies who regularly perform on and off campus. From large orchestras to rock bands, there is a vast spectrum of different styles of music for students to take part in and enjoy.  The vibrant extracurricular music scene featuring the student music societies of ExTunes promote music as a social and recreational activity amongst all students with the support of the Students' Guild.
