To me, Celebration is more like sharing the joy and achievements with everyone, especially those who are involved in one way or another. This is because I believe that achievements cannot be attained without the help or cooperation of others. For individual achievements, let say, good academic results, it will not possible, without the effort put in by the lecturers and staffs, the care you receive from your family or the encouragements you receive from your friends. For group or organisation’s achievement, like that of Exeter University’s Diamond Jubilee, it would not be possible without all the efforts from the staffs, students and many more through out these years.

Therefore, this painting depicting “hands of a group of people throwing flowers”,  illustrates people gathering together to celebrate the acheivement that belongs to everyone. Also, it indicates the importance of each unique individual’s participation. Moreover, I have painted a blue background representing the sky. The main idea behind the blue sky is that, celebration of an achievements also marks the beginning of a new journey. Thus, it is to encourage people who have achieved something to work harder for another new achievement and more celebration. Making sky their limit.
