See below for recordings of all three of our Sex and Nature Salon events, hosted by Creative Fellow and stand-up comedian Siân Docksey with Dr Ina Linge from the University of Exeter's Sexual Knowledge Unit.

The Sex and Nature Salon has been devised by 2020/2021 Arts and Culture Creative Fellow Siân Docksey and Dr Ina Linge from the University of Exeter's Sexual Knowledge Unit to offer a playful, experimental online space which brings together comedians, researchers, academics, artists and those who are curious to discuss themes relating to their fellowship The Politics of Sexuals Nature.
You can watch recordings of all three events below. Please note they all contain strong language.
The first event tackled the very important question 'Why are we all obsessed with gay penguins?'. Featuring a mixture of interactive games and discussion the event also featured talks from Dr Ina Linge (University of Exeter), Florence Schechter (Science Comedian and Director of the Vagina Museum) and Ross Brooks PhD researcher and historian (Oxford Brookes) writing a dissertation on 'Evolution's Closet: Queer Science in Britain, 1871-1957'.
The second Sex and Nature Salon focused on the theme of 'extinction' and featured talks from multi-disciplinary artist Maria Lux and Dr Sarah Bezan, post-doctorial researcher in Perceptions of Biodiversity Change at the University of York as well as performances from stand-up comedian Andrew O'Neill and a special appearance from Lonesome George the Tortoise (who had a strikingly odd resemblance to Scottish comedian Eleanor Morton).
On Wednesday 10th February, Siân and Ina hosted the third and final Sex and Nature Salon of their Creative Fellowship. The line-up featured a talk from Dr Hannah Boast (specialist on ‘Ecofeminism to Alt-Right: Gay Frogs, Xenoestrogens and Contemporary Environmental Culture) and performances from the award-winning Dragprov Revue and comedian Thom Tuck (disguised as Senator Bernie Sanders).
